Department of Electrical and
Electronics Engineering
Revolutionising tomorrow's technology
Introduction
Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering has been an integral part of SAIT, since its inception in the year 2009. The department offers B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, a four-year (eight semesters) degree program with an intake of 30 students.
The department has well-equipped laboratories consisting of modern equipment & systems. These amenities pave the way for our students to numerous opportunities in the industries like Electric Vehicle, Renewable energy, Electrical design etc. where they develop, test and supervise the manufacturing of electrical equipment, such as electric motors, radar and navigation systems, communications systems, or power generation equipment. Electrical engineers also design the electrical systems of automobiles and aircrafts.
The curriculum is designed according to the norms of AICTE to match the recent trends, developments & demands of the industry and research areas. There is a wide range of subjects like Hybrid & Electrical Vehicles, SCADA Systems & Applications, Application of AI in Electrical / Electronic Engg, Power Quality Problems and Mitigation Techniques, etc. Activities like seminars, webinars, internships workshops, and projects aid students in academics & provide a pragmatic learning experience.

MSME TOOL ROOM, INDORE (Indo German Tool Room, Indore) is one of the leading tool rooms in central India. It is a Central Govt. project with assistance from the Republic of Germany. It provides training services to our students in the field of SCADA, Robotics, AutoCAD Electrical, PLC Programming, Automation & Process Control, Embedded System, Basic and advanced Industrial Electrical Maintenance and Electrical Equipment repairing & Machining Maintenance.
INTEL Intelligent Systems Lab has been set up at Sri Aurobindo Institute of Technology, Indore to enhance students' employability skills by signing MoU with Intel- FICE (Foundation for Innovation and Collaborative Education). The program associates a curriculum for:
- Training of the trainers.
- Student training with INTEL Certification.
- Project to Students with mentoring by Intel and Trained Faculty.
- Internship for selected students.
Students are trained by Intel/ trainers on Intel Galileo Processor and develop applications using either Open Source / Certified Software including Microsoft. The registered students can also participate in any Intel Innovation and Ideation camp conducted by Intel across the country.
Courses offered at INTEL Intelligent Systems Lab:
Intel Galileo Board:
The Intel® Galileo board is a microcontroller board based on the Intel® Quark SoC X1000 application processor, a 32-bit Intel® Pentium® brand system on a chip (SoC). It is the first board based on Intel® architecture designed to be hardware and software pin-compatible with shields designed for the Arduino Uno* R3.
This platform provides the ease of Intel architecture development through support for the Microsoft Windows*, Mac OS*, and Linux* host operating systems. The Intel Galileo board is also software-compatible with the Arduino software development environment, which makes usability and introduction a snap.
