GATE
GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) is a national-level postgraduate engineering entrance exam based on which candidates are offered admission to PG as well as PhD courses in colleges all over India.
College Level Counselling (CLC)
After the GATE (Qualifying Exam) round, if seats remain vacant then DTE conducts College Level Counselling. For this, students have to register themselves online.
On the day of CLC, students must be present in the institute with an online registration receipt along with TC, Migration, 2 sets of photocopies of required documents, and photographs. On the day of admission, a student is verified by DTE (Online) and physically verified at the institute. Based on students’ details a common merit list is prepared and seats are allotted to students on a merit basis.
If seats remain vacant in CLC round 1 the same process is done in the next round of CLC (if the next round is declared).
