Introduction

 

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering has been an integral part of SAIT, since its inception in the year 2009. The department offers B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering, a four years (eight semesters) degree program with an intake of 120 students.

The curriculum is designed according to the norms of AICTE to match the recent trends, developments & demands of the IT industry and research areas. There is a wide range of subjects like Programming languages (C++, Java, Python, etc.), Networking & Operating Systems, Data Analytics, Cloud Computing, Data Structure, etc. Activities like seminars, webinars, internships workshops, and projects aid students in academics & provide a pragmatic learning experience.

The department has well-equipped laboratories consisting of modern computer systems with internet facilities. The center of excellence at our department also incorporates separate high-tech labs & systems. All these amenities pave the way for our students to the numerous opportunities in big tech conglomerates & IT firms like Infosys, TCS, Accenture, Wipro, Zensar, Capgemini, Impetus, Yash Technologies, etc.

The CSE department has highly acclaimed, competent, and well-qualified faculty members with strong academic credentials. Our faculty has a long legacy of shaping successful careers. They give students an unparalleled education that takes them directly from the classroom into their careers.

The research area of faculty members includes wireless network, computer networks, network security, machine learning, data mining, system designing, etc.

The institute has signed a MoU with Amazon Web Services & has established “Aws Academy” to provide our students ready-to-teach cloud computing curriculum that prepares them to pursue industry-recognized certifications and in-demand cloud jobs.

AWS Academy students take courses for foundational cloud concepts to architecting, developing, operations, and data analysis on AWS. They also offer courses in Machine Learning Foundations, and Data Analytics.
