Introduction

Bachelor of Design (B.Des) is a 4-year job oriented undergraduate degree provided by many of India's leading design institutes like National Institute of Design etc. A career after this degree gives the candidate the best of both worlds of creativity and technology.

Why choose B.Des?

Simply put, Design is Creativity x Technology

With machines becoming an integral part of our lives, designing them, interacting with them and creating them has become the most crucial vocation for the future.

It is perhaps the reason why ‘Designers’ are the most scarce human resource of the current times. Be it the User Interface Design of your mobile phone, tablet or Smart TV, or the industrial and product design of an electrical vehicle, designers are creating a new world around us.

It is the Graphic Designers, the UI/UX Designers, the Products and the Industrial Designers who are creatively using technology to solve problems for us and give us extraordinary solutions.

And because of this reason there is a strong demand for designers and those with design backgrounds as the design industry is growing at a rapid rate.Hence, this is the best time to pursue this course.

"UI" in UI design is an abbreviation for "user interface". The application's graphical layout is referred to as the user interface. It consists of buttons that the user clicks, text that the user reads, images, sliders, text input boxes, and other elements that the user interacts with. This includes screen layouts, transitions, surface animations, and all micro-interactions.

"UX" is an abbreviation for "user experience". The user experience of your app depends on how your users interact with your app. Is the experience smooth and intuitive, or is it clunky and confusing? Do you feel that navigating your app is logical or random? The user experience depends on how easy or difficult it is to interact with the user interface elements created by the UI designer.

All of this ultimately extends to the overall lasting value and experience a product or service provides for end-users.
