The Industrial Engineering and Management course is a sub-discipline of Mechanical engineering. It is related to understanding, development and implementation of systems involving human beings and other resources. In this course of study students learn about the methods to manage and optimum utilization of resources available by applying mathematical and engineering tools.

It contains topics like Product Design and Development, work systems, logistics, production planning and inventory control, Operation research, Quality Control and recently Intellectual property system. Industrial engineers are suitable for any industry, right from manufacturing to planning, consultancy to software, logistics to supply chain management.

In SAIT, Industrial Engineering Management was started in the year 2011 with an annual intake of 18 students.

The course curriculum is as per norm and standards of AICTE. It has been regularly updated by the RGPV to include developments in the industry such as Product Design and Development, Operation research, Quality Control and recently Intellectual property system etc.

Industrial Engineering Management uses the principles of engineering, mass production and technology to help companies find ways to offer better services. Industrial engineers usually rely on knowledge of business, safety methods and product requirements to increase the output quantity as well as the quality.

Industrial Engineers can get the job as Project manager, Operation manager, Quality manager, and Facility engineer in private & government companies.
