Lit Chowk Season 5 conducted institute-level auditions in multiple colleges across Indore, and SAGI hosted its dedicated audition round for its students. The campus came alive with performances in music, art, storytelling and theatre. The event provided a platform for creative expression and offered students a pathway to move ahead in the festival’s next stages.
Lit Chowk – Indore ka Tyohar (Season 5) began its citywide institute-level audition series across various colleges in Indore, and Sri Aurobindo Group of Institutes (SAGI) proudly hosted one of these audition rounds on its campus. The audition at SAGI was exclusively for students from its constituent institutes, giving them a platform to present their creativity, talent, and artistic potential.
The event was held at the Sri Aurobindo Institute of Technology campus and marked SAGI’s participation in the first phase of selections for the upcoming Lit Chowk festival. With multiple colleges across the city hosting their own rounds, SAGI’s audition served as an important step in identifying performers who would move ahead to the next stage of the festival.
From the moment the auditions began, the campus pulsed with energy and excitement. Students from different institutes under SAGI arrived with confidence and enthusiasm, ready to perform in front of the jury. The environment encouraged self-expression, collaboration, and cultural exchange, which are core values of the group.
Classrooms and performance spaces were transformed into lively stages where students expressed themselves through music, art, theatre, storytelling, and more. The atmosphere reflected SAGI’s strong culture of supporting creativity alongside academics.
Students participated in several categories, including storytelling, dance, mimicry, monologue acting, singing, rap, sketching, live painting, and other art forms. Each performance added its own charm to the day, highlighting the diverse interests and talents present across SAGI’s institutes. The active participation of students demonstrated the enthusiasm with which they embraced this opportunity.
The audition round at SAGI was enriched by the presence of respected guests from creative and media backgrounds.
Ambar Verman, Chief Storyteller and Co-founder of The Blunt, interacted with participants, sharing insights about creative thinking and content development. His presence encouraged students to explore new perspectives in storytelling and performance.
Chetan Joshi, known for his involvement in socio-cultural events and youth initiatives, joined as a judge and observer. He appreciated the preparation and spirit shown by SAGI students and acknowledged the well-organized structure of the event.
The audition at SAGI was coordinated under the guidance of Prof. Shivangi Chauhan from the CSE department of SAIT. Faculty coordinators from various art categories contributed to organizing the performances and ensuring the event ran efficiently. Their combined efforts helped create a welcoming, structured, and encouraging environment for participants. The Pixel Club, the photography club of SAIT, captured the entire event with professional photographs and videos. Their contribution played an important role in recording and showcasing the creative spirit of the day.
By hosting the audition round for Lit Chowk, SAGI reaffirmed its dedication to nurturing student talent across cultural, artistic, and literary domains. The event allowed students to explore their creative abilities and prepare for the next stages of the festival.
Participants selected from SAGI will now move forward for further evaluation at Lit Chowk – Indore ka Tyohar, where finalists from multiple colleges will come together to perform.
