Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) is a major health concern among women. The Sri Aurobindo Institute of Pharmacy, in collaboration with the Madhya Pradesh chapter of the Indian Fertility Society, organized an informative workshop on PCOS awareness.
The program, which was organized as an interactive session, aimed to educate female students and staff members on the diagnosis, symptoms, problems, and treatment options for PCOS. Ms. Sana Afrin, an Assistant Professor at SAIMS Indore's Department of Community Medicine, led the conversation.
The major goal was to provide female participants with a thorough understanding of PCOS, including its identification, symptoms, potential problems, and current therapies.
The ceremony began with the lighting of a ceremonial lamp, followed by Saraswati Vandana. Mr. Vikas Jain presented the distinguished guest and provided information on "Sukanya," an Indian Fertility Society committee committed to reproductive health and PCOS awareness.
Ms. Sana Afrin discussed reproductive health and PCOS in depth, putting light on its intricacies. PCOS, a hormonal illness, is frequently misunderstood and may be caused by hereditary and hormonal abnormalities. It's concerning that data show that every second or third woman in her twenties in India has PCOS.
The session dramatically increased understanding and awareness regarding reproductive health and PCOS management in everyday life.
The workshop was lively and informative, and attendees had a better grasp of PCOS diagnosis, prevention, and treatment options.
1. "The session enlightened us on diagnosing and preventing PCOS effectively." Ms. Radhika Sharma
2. "Understanding the importance of reproductive health and staying alert to PCOS symptoms was invaluable." Mrs. Yashmita Sharma
Educating women about reproductive health and PCOS is still critical. Such seminars set the path for a healthier, more informed community, ensuring that women are well-equipped to manage their health.
