On account of the Industry-Institute Interface, an industry visit to Busymen Offset Printers Private Limited was organised for students of Sri Aurobindo Institute of Management and Science, Indore.
The visit was organized so that the students can learn about project management, process flow, human resource accounting and the operating part of a manufacturing unit.
The visit was an excellent learning experience for the students as they learned a lot of things related to their subjects and had new exposure towards the printing industry along with the process of manufacturing packaging material.
Busymen Offset Printers Private Limited is one of Central India’s largest offset printing & packaging companies. The company has over 100 employees with a turnover of Rupees 1.25 Cr. It manufactures folded cartons, corrugated cartons, leaflets, pack inserts, leaflets, labels, flyers, brochures, calendars, etc.
Mr J Somaiya, Owner & Director welcomed the staff & students. For the floor visit, the students were divided into three batches for a better understanding of the manufacturing unit. The shop floor managers explained the elements of cost, revenue and profit generation with their process of packaging. Students were also oriented practically towards how the volume of production affects the cost of production.
The emphasis was also on how the Client’s response to pricing and positioning strategies assisted the Press to make packaging in different ways and in different quantities & quality.
The students learned the Producer's role in managing the working capital requirement by providing quality packaging.
