SAIT Becomes First Private Institution to Join BIS Standards Club
Sri Aurobindo Institute of Technology sets a milestone as the first private institution from Indore to join BIS Standards club.
In the dynamic world of technical education, institutions must ensure that their students are not only academically proficient but also prepared for the real-world challenges of the industry. Recognizing this imperative, Sri Aurobindo Institute of Technology (SAIT) took a monumental step by joining hands with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), India's premier IT company.
This collaboration culminated in an enlightening session on Business Communication, tailored for the final and pre-final year students from a spectrum of engineering discipline.
The ambiance at SAIT on 4th August 2023 was palpable with anticipation. The institute's sprawling auditorium, which has been a witness to numerous academic discourses, was all set to become a confluence of industry insights and academic inquiry.
The meticulous planning behind the event was evident in every detail, from the seating arrangements to the multimedia presentations awaiting kickoff.
The event's significance was underscored by the presence of a distinguished panel from TCS: Mr. Sachin Goyal, the Delivery Head; Mr. Saksham Sharma, Lead CSR; Mr. Darshan Joshi, a seasoned developer, and Mr. Ankit Sharma, HCM Recruit Consultant.
SAIT's commitment to fostering robust industry-academia ties was manifested in the warm welcome extended to these guests. Bouquets of flowers symbolizing respect, gratitude, and the promise of a fruitful association, were presented by Mr. Amit Holkar, Head of Academics; Mr. Vajid Ahmed, TPO SAIT; and Mr. Sunil Parihar, HoD, CSE Department.
Following this, heartfelt gesture, Mr. Saksham Sharma set the stage by introducing Mr. Sachin Goyal and outlining the session's objectives.
With the stage set, Mr. Sachin Goyal embarked on his expert session, unraveling the intricacies of business communication. In today's corporate landscape, where digital communication tools are ubiquitous, understanding the subtleties of effective communication becomes paramount.
Mr. Goyal, with his vast reservoir of experience, highlighted the symbiotic relationship between individual growth and effective communication. Drawing from real-life scenarios, he emphasized the role of collaborative efforts in achieving organizational milestones.
The session was not just about theories and principles; it was a masterclass in understanding the practical aspects of business communication, making it relevant and relatable to the budding engineers in attendance.
As the session progressed, Mr. Goyal shifted his focus to the symbiotic relationship between teamwork and individual growth. He emphasized that while individual brilliance is commendable, it's the ability to work in a team that often determines success in the corporate world.
Sharing anecdotes from his illustrious career, he highlighted instances where effective teamwork, underpinned by clear communication, led to the successful execution of projects.
For the students, this segment was a revelation, underscoring the importance of soft skills in complementing their technical knowledge.
One of the standout segments of the session was when Mr. Goyal delved deep into the concepts of commitment and mindfulness. Drawing parallels between personal commitments and professional deliverables, he emphasized the significance of credibility in the corporate realm.
He also introduced the students to the concept of mindfulness, urging them to be present in the moment, whether in meetings, project discussions, or while making critical decisions.
This, he explained, not only enhances decision-making but also improved interpersonal relationships, a critical aspect of business communication.
As the clock neared the session's end, Mr. Goyal wrapped up his enlightening talk, leaving the students with a treasure trove of insights to ponder upon.
Following his address, Mr. Sunil Parihar, HoD - Computer Science and Engineering department, took to the stage to express the institute's heartfelt gratitude. He thanked the TCS team for their invaluable contribution and emphasized the importance of such collaborations in bridging the gap between academia and industry.
The event by all measures, was a resounding success. The auditorium, filled with an audience of around 150 students and faculty members, resonated with applause, reflecting the session's impact.
The Q&A segment that followed was a testament to the students' engagement, with many posing insightful questions, further enriching the discourse.
The feedback from the attendees was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing their eagerness for more such sessions in the future.
As SAIT continues its journey towards academic and professional excellence, collaborations like these serve as milestones, reminding everyone of the institute's commitment to holistic education.
With a perfect blend of academic rigor and industry insights, Sri Aurobindo Institute of Technology is poised to redefine technical education in India. The institute looks forward to more such collaborations, ensuring that its students are not just academically proficient but also industry-ready, equipped with the skills and knowledge to excel in the real world.
