Sri Aurobindo Group of Institutes celebrated Independence Day with patriotic fervor and joy. The day featured flag hoisting by Vice President Mr. Kinshuk Trivedi, inspiring speeches, and cultural performances including a play on the life of Sri Aurobindo.
Every year the 15th of August fills our hearts with pride and gratitude. This year at Sri Aurobindo Group of Institutes (SAGI), the day carried even greater significance as we not only celebrated the 79th Independence Day of our nation but also paid homage to the birth anniversary of Sri Aurobindo a visionary who continues to inspire generations with his thoughts and ideals.
The celebration began with the hoisting of the national flag by our respected Vice President Mr. Kinshuk Trivedi. As the tricolour unfurled high in the sky the entire campus echoed with the national anthem sung in unison by students faculty and staff. It was a moment of true patriotism where every eye gleamed with pride and every heart beat in rhythm with the nation.
Following the flag hoisting Mr. Trivedi addressed the gathering with an inspiring speech. His words reminded us of the sacrifices made by countless freedom fighters and the responsibility we hold as the youth of this country to uphold the values of freedom equality and unity. His message of dedication hard work and commitment to the nation deeply touched everyone present.
The highlight of the day was a beautifully staged play by our students on the life of Sri Aurobindo. The performance traced his journey from being a young revolutionary in the freedom struggle to becoming a philosopher and spiritual leader. Through dialogues music and expressions the play captured his vision of a free India and his message of human unity. Watching our students bring his story to life was not just entertaining but also deeply thought provoking.
The cultural program further added colours to the celebration. Students sang patriotic songs delivered heartfelt speeches and performed traditional dances. Every act was filled with enthusiasm reflecting the spirit of independence and the rich cultural heritage of our nation.
The event concluded with the distribution of sweets leaving everyone with smiles on their faces and a renewed sense of pride in their hearts. More than just a celebration it was a reminder of our duties as citizens and as learners at an institution that carries forward the name and legacy of Sri Aurobindo.
This Independence Day was not only a day of joy but also a day of reflection. As we remembered the past we also pledged ourselves to the future to contribute in building the India that our freedom fighters including Sri Aurobindo once dreamt of.
