Aligning to the mission of the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India, Innovation cell (MIC) which is to systematically foster the culture of Innovation in all Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) across the country, Sri Aurobindo Institute of Pharmacy established Sri Aurobindo Institute of Pharmacy's Institution Innovation Council (SAIP - IIC)
The central animal facility at the institute in collaboration with SAIMS medical College is a CPCSEA (Committee for Control and Supervision on Experimentation on Animals) approved facility. The facility maintains animal species like rats, mice, guinea pigs, and rabbits. It is equipped with an Incinerator (electrically operated) to dispose of biological and other biomedical waste. The facility is used for conducting advanced research in pre-clinical pharmacokinetics, bioavailability studies, and pharmacological screening of various drugs.
