SAIP- Research Innovation Centre: (SRIC)

Sri Aurobindo Institute of Pharmacy- Research Innovation Centre (SRIC) performs research-driven work to achieve lifelong learning for all. It goes beyond formal education systems and reflects on the future of teaching and learning. While having a particular focus on emerging trends and issues, SRIC aims to set a forward-looking and innovative agenda for a changing education landscape. The goal of SRIC is to produce work that is thoroughly integrated with empirical analysis and innovation awareness, with specific emphasis on accumulating statistical evidence and developing key indicators to solidify its research work.

Aligning to the mission of the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India, Innovation cell (MIC) which is to systematically foster the culture of Innovation in all Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) across the country, Sri Aurobindo Institute of Pharmacy established Sri Aurobindo Institute of Pharmacy's Institution Innovation Council (SAIP - IIC)

Sophisticated Analytical Instrumentation Laboratories (SAIL)

The SAIL was established in 2011 with the main objective of having a central facility in the institute Campus to carry out high-end testing, consultancy & research. Analytical lab instruments encompass a wide range of instrumentation whose principle purpose is to qualitatively and quantitatively analyze samples; the chemical makeup of a sample and the quantity of each component within a sample. A list of instrumentation facilities is available at SAIL:

  • UV-Visible Spectrophotometer (Shimadzu, Japan)
  • High-Pressure Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) (Waters, USA)
  • Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrophotometer (FTIR) (Shimadzu, Japan)
  • Analytical Weighing Balance (Shimadzu, Japan)
  • Brookfield Viscometer
  • Ultra Sonicator
  • Karl-Fischer Titration apparatus
  • Digital pH meter
  • Flame Photometer
  • Moisture Content Weighing Balance

Animal Experimentation Facility.

The central animal facility at the institute in collaboration with SAIMS medical College is a CPCSEA (Committee for Control and Supervision on Experimentation on Animals) approved facility. The facility maintains animal species like rats, mice, guinea pigs, and rabbits. It is equipped with an Incinerator (electrically operated) to dispose of biological and other biomedical waste. The facility is used for conducting advanced research in pre-clinical pharmacokinetics, bioavailability studies, and pharmacological screening of various drugs.
