Sri Aurobindo Institute of Technology joined the world in marking World Environment Day on June 5th, 2023. The distinguished faculty members led an enlightening series of speeches and activities, centered around nature and environmental conservation, creating a unique, informative experience for all participants.

The event was opened with eloquent speeches delivered by our esteemed faculty members, including Vice Principal Dr. Anupam Mandloi, Head of Department Dr. Neelu Sharma, Head of Department Electronics and Communication Mr. Amit Holkar, Assistant Professor Dr. Deepti Upadhyay, Assistant Professors Ms. Lata Vyas, Ms. Shikha Panchariya, and Mr. Yatin Balyan.

These insightful talks spanned an array of pressing environmental issues, such as environmental protection, military and industrial waste, sustainable development, plastic pollution, and climate change. The speakers didn't just share their insights, but, more importantly, proposed actionable steps we can all take towards mitigating these issues.

A practical second activity saw faculty members guiding students on their roles and responsibilities towards nature and Mother Earth. They reiterated the significance of cleanliness and environment protection, emphasizing the role of every individual in preserving our planet.

Demonstrating this commitment to a cleaner environment, participants then undertook a ground clean-up operation. All attendees collected litter including plastic waste, bottles, and papers, reinforcing the institute's commitment to the 'Reduce, Recycle, Reuse' ethos.

The day's festivities culminated in a highly engaging quiz competition, spotlighting environmental topics.  Emerging victorious from this battle of wits was a first-year B. Tech student from the CS branch, Mr. Bhole Shankar Sharma, who topped the merit list.

World Environment Day 2023 at Sri Aurobindo Institute of Technology will undoubtedly be remembered not only for the shared knowledge and experience but for the collective commitment to environmental protection shown by all participants.

As an institution, we will continue to foster this spirit of environmental stewardship, understanding that the steps we take today will determine the sustainability of our shared future.
