Sri Aurobindo Institute of Technology (SAIT), Indore regularly conducts activities to show its sincere commitment to addressing social issues and regularly contribute to it through various means under the in-house club ‘Aahwan’.

As a part of our community contribution programme, SAIT donated a chalkboard and floor mats to Government Secondary School, Bhawrasla. Aahwan Club representatives and other staff members of the institute enthusiastically participated in the event and interacted with the teachers and students. It was a great experience for us to see the smiling faces of School Children and we also tried to capture and save those happy moments through the lens. In the end, on behalf of the entire School Family, Principal Anita Claude expressed her gratitude to SAIT.

This was not a first time experience for the members of SAIT as earlier through Aahwan; we performed several activities as a part of our community contribution program. The institute had also celebrated the festival of Holi with students of Residential School for Deaf, Dumb & Blind and distributed stationery items to students, played games and shared a delicious brunch with them.

Project Bardari is also an insightful initiative taken by us for the nearby village Bardari. Through this project, we are working with the people of the village under three key segments of Economic growth, Social inclusion and Environmental protection, according to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals program. The team of students and faculty members visit the village and they coordinate and work together with the people on a number of issues like poverty, food security, nutrition, sustainable agriculture, education, gender equality, management of water and sanitation, climate change etc...

As an institution, we strive to fulfil our responsibilities being a members of the local community and we find utmost joy in helping and supporting the people around us.
